Terms such as 'making AI available/helpful/useful for everyone' are often expressed as goals, missions or sometimes even as something that has been achieved. But what does 'everyone' mean? And how do we make sure people use AI in a beneficial way (for all)?
Starting with the example of digital literacy, I will show that these questions are often not trivial to answer or introduce challenges that are difficult to solve. More importantly, the examples I have run into show that many of these challenges require expertise outside of the domain of AI.
