Description
Introduction to an evening programme on the post 1945 history of papua (from Dutch colony to province of Indonesia, and the exile in the Netherlands of Papua leaders like Nicolaas Jouwe and Marcus Kaisiepo. The lecture proposes to widen and broaden the historical approach, getting beyond a narrow political history seeking to account for individual actions and responsibilities and zooming out to the wider geo-political context of the events between 1945 and 1967.| Period | 18 Sep 2018 |
