I was invited to give a presentation at the Fifth Annual NNHRR Conference, during the panel 'Information in Crisis Parallel Session'.
Presentation abstract: In the global information order, it is necessary to do something about online disinformation. On an EU level, legal action against disinformation is constrained by limited competencies of the EU in fields such as media, education, criminal law, and national security. However, these competencies are not fixed. As there is currently momentum for treaty change, we can consider changing the Treaties to expand competencies to enable the EU to take legal action against disinformation and thereby combat information wars.
