Description
Development of a knowledge clip under my supervisionThe International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families entered into force in 2003 (thus 20 years ago). The Convention is one of the nine “core” human rights treaties. The Convention plays an important role in protecting, preventing and eliminating the exploitation of all migrant workers and members of their families throughout the entire migration process. Although the Convention is not yet ratified by all UN Member States, and although the Convention is not sufficiently visible in academic education, especially in the EU, the Convention is an extremely important instrument protecting the human rights of migrant workers. This introductory knowledge clip introduces the rights included in the Convention and the main tasks of the Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families.
