Description
The German Network for Forced Migration Studies is a multi-disciplinary network of researchers who conduct research on aspects of forced migration and refugees. Its purpose is, among other things, to strengthen forced migration and refugee research in the scientific landscape, to promote research in the field of Forced Migration and Refugee Studies, to contribute to the dialogue between science and practice as well as to the transfer of research results, to support the critical discussion among scientists about forced migration, asylum, refugee protection and living conditions of refugees as well as the transfer of scientific results to the public. To this end, it primarily aims to contribute to networking researchers in the field of Forced Migration and Refugee Studies, to the initiation of cooperations within and beyond academia, and to the inter- and transdisciplinary exchange about research. The German Network for Forced Migration Studies does this, among other things, by organizing scientific meetings and conferences, by providing online platforms (homepage) and internal communication tools, through a newsletter and social media, and by providing or supporting publication formats such as the FluchtforschungsBlog and the Z’Flucht: Zeitschrift für Flucht- und Flüchtlingsforschung. The German Network for Forced Migration Studies is committed to basic ethical principles in science.Period | 2013 → … |
