Global health research often deals with complex health interventions, the evaluation of which is difficult. Are randomized controlled trails (RCTs) as the “gold standard” feasible designs to measure the effectiveness of complex health intervention in Global Health? The presentation discusses adaptations of RCT design, and methods for mimicking RCTs in observational data as tools to measure effectiveness and impact in the field of Global Health research.
