When is Suspension Wrong?

Activity: Lecture / PresentationAcademic

Description

Explores whether suspension of judgment manifests 'neutrality'. I argue that while suspension of judgment manifests doxastic neutrality, it doesn't thereby express political or moral neutrality. A person's doxastic neutrality can amount to problematic political or moral non-neutrality, whereby they take a side in a controversy, even if unwittingly.
