Two years ago we started an ambitious project: Chronicling Novelty - unlocking some three hundred chronicles from the period 1500-1850. As a first step, we visited dozens of archives and photographed many thousands of pages of chronicles. Then we placed these pictures on VeleHanden, where our volunteers are busy every day transcribing page after page, or checking computer made transcriptions. In the past two years so much work has been done, that we would like to show what the big picture is that everyone contributes to.
