Upon completion of this course, students have:- acquired knowledge with regard to enterprising skills;
- gained insight into, and developed their own enterprising skills;
- gained knowledge and experience pertaining to the deliberate practice skill acquisition method.
Course Content
This course allows students to practice as well as study so-called soft skills underlying entrepreneurship: generating ideas for opportunities, taking action, perseverance, teamwork, networking, and convincing people. These skills are becoming ever more essential whether the student will eventually become an entrepreneur (by any definition), self-employed (zzp’er, freelancer), or as an employee. They are also widely applied in non-work settings. Students will study the research and theory with regard to enterprising skills, and then practice these skills in the context of their own life. In the second part of the course, students will improve a particular, self-chosen aspect of enterprising behaviour by means of the deliberate practice skill acquisition method. In this course, students will not only develop their skills but also learn how to develop their skills. Moreover, students will practice coaching and mentoring skills.Teaching Methods
