Course Objective

This course aims to deepen students’ understanding of theories and concepts in the field of international management. Students will learn to recognize, analyze, and evaluate critical challenges relevant to international management. After completing this course, students should:
- Have thorough knowledge of relevant theory and methods, and an evidence-based approach to solving complex business problems:Students show a critical mastery of core International Management theory and quantitative and qualitative methods, and of state-of-the-art thinking about the discipline. Students design substantiated solutions to complex practical problems and find opportunities to formulate innovative ideas based on appropriate theories, methods, and techniques commonly used in the field of International Management
- Have the professional and social skills to interact with other professionals: Students demonstrate excellent social and communication skills both orally and in writing in multi-stakeholder contexts

Course Content

The course is organized around the key questions that internationalizing firms need to address. It covers topics such as international strategy, location choice, entry modes, and global collaboration. Throughout the course, we examine how researchers study international management, alongside discussions on contemporary issues such as deglobalization and trade wars. The tutorials promote the practical application of lecture content through qualitative case studies and quantitative techniques for international market selection.
