Practice of clinical skillsTeaching Methods
Practical application of knowledge. The internship lasts at least 672 hours (about 6 months, or more), and requires ample investment of time. The section Clinical Neuropsychology will help the student to find an internship to the best of its abilities, however, it's the students own responsibility to succeed in finding an internship. The internship needs to comply with the internship requirements set by the internship coordinator, so always contact the coordinator when considering a specific internship. About 6 months before the start of the master's program, an information meeting will be held for the bachelor's students taking the neuropsychology minor at the VU. Students are advised to start looking for an internship from that moment on and students can register with the coordinator to prepare for the internship. During the internship, the following internship meetings need to be attended:- 5 x Intervision During the internship, the student is requested to schedule several meetings with the internship teacher. More information can be found on the Canvas Course 'Stage neuropsychologie ZOEKEN'. Students can sign themselves up for this Canvas Course in Canvas.
Method of Assessment
At the end of the internship, the internal internship teacher will make the final assessment. The external internship supervisor has an important advisory role in the assessment of the internship. The final grade will be determined by the internship teacher based on the assessment form completed by the external internship supervisor and on assessment by the internship teacher of the internship plan, internship reports, and participation in the internship meetings. An internship which is assessed as inadequate, must either be extended or the student has to complete a new internship.Literature
