Course Objective

Within this module, students acquire specific techniques and expertise for conducting research with clients.

Course Content

Clinical and developmental psychopathology is an interdisciplinary field, in which a broad array of research techniques and paradigms are used. Students will learn specific (non-generic) skills or techniques, under intensive tutoring by experts in these methods. Before the start of the course a description will be given of the topics that are available (Canvas). Each student has to choose 2 of those topics. Each topic stands for 3 EC.

Teaching Methods

Small groups of students are tutored and trained in two research techniques by expert researchers. The dates / times of the meetings will be decided during the first meeting with the lecturer. This means that there will be no lectures with the whole group!

Method of Assessment

Assignments and/or a paper, dependent on the topic the students chooses.Students should pass both topics (grade 5.5 or higher).
