After finishing this course, the student- has learned the basic principles of how to do research in the field of Religious History and Heritage;
- has completed a small research project.
Course Content
During the course, you will work on an individual topic. You will be offered a list of potential research topics related to the Religious History and Heritage of the Low Countries and Amsterdam to choose from. In 2025 the focus will be on Religious Heritage in the city of Amsterdam. In this course we will cooperate with religious Heritage Institutions in the city of Amsterdam.Teaching Methods
At the beginning of the course you will be given an introduction on how to do research in this specific field. Once a week we will have working sessions to discuss progress and questions. Optional we will have excursions in the city of Amsterdam.Method of Assessment
You will write a research report on your topic, and also a short text in which you present the results of your research for a broader audience.research report (75%)short text for a broader audience (25%)Further, all students prepare short QAQR presentations of the required reading sufficient/insufficient).Literature
