Description
This dataset contains code and information on the analyses performed for Maura Gardenier’s PhD Thesis Project (September 2024). The data should be retained for 10 years. In the general folder, you will find the Dissertation ‘Trajectories in health, long-term care and wellbeing in old age’, which contains the synthesis and the four chapters that the publication packages contain information on. The data is not being made public, because this dataset (publication packages) contains sensitive information. The used code is very detailed, and sometimes refers to respondent numbers. Although it is highly unlikely that someone is able to identify these respondents based on these descriptions in the code, the nature of the data is sensitive enough to restrict public access. The data can be requested for replication purposes. The publication packages do not contain the analysed data files. All chapters used data from the Longitudinal Aging Study Amsterdam (LASA). LASA data are not open, but can be requested through sending in the LASA data request: https://lasa-vu.nl/en/request-data/ . The data of LASA covers a broad range of topics, collected across a large number of measurement cycles (waves) since 1992. The data used in this publication package ranges from 2009 to 2022. It contains data on health, functioning, care use and wellbeing among Dutch older adults. Demographic information, such as region of living, age, and education are also present.
