Description

These data were collected to study the long-term neurocognitive and mental health outcomes of neonatal insults (NNI) survivors who are six years or older. Two independent reviewers conducted a comprehensive search for empirical literature by combining index and free terms from the inception of the databases until 20th December 2017. Information extracted from the studies included: the author’s name and year of publication, the country where the study was conducted, the sample size, age of participants at follow-up, study design, the type of neonatal insult, the assessment tools used, the neuro-cognitive or mental health outcome assessed, and a general summary of the study findings.
