Description

Finding suitable interactive activities can be difficult for children with complex care needs and their parents. In this study it was investigated how a toolkit (containing a selection of assistive technology and instructions for use) could contribute to the interactions between parent and child.
Participatory observation is used in four N=1 studies with a Baseline and Intervention phase. In both the baseline condition and the intervention condition (without vs. with access to the Toolkit), the investigator observes the parent during normal daily activities with the child four times, for two and a half hours per visit. Four mother-child dyads participated.
