Aza Goudriaan is Associate Professor of the History of Christianity in the Faculty of Religion and Theology. He studied theology at Leiden University and LMU Munich. Before coming to the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2007) he held research appointments at Leiden University and the Erasmus School of Philosophy, Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is an editor-in-chief of Church History and Religious Culture.
