Personal information

Ana Isabel Lopes is an Assistant Professor in Corporate Communication at the Department of Communication Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She has a PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp. Previously she worked as a Researcher at igMIP project, a partnership between the University of Minho (Portugal) and Bosch Car Multimedia (2016–2017). She has published her work at reputable international peer-reviewed journals as well as several book chapters.

Research

Ana's research interests cover several areas within marketing communications and public relations, with most recent work being on the social responsibility of organizations and how it can benefit society and lead to sustainable consumption. Her reserach also focuses on how online reviews and webcare – (managerial responses to online reviews) are processed and influence behaviour and business.
