Research

The main focus of my PhD trajectory is the mitigation of motion sickness in self-driving vehicles. We have also investigated how to unambiguously measure motion sickness, whether we can perceive motion in the absence of any motion, and which variables predict motion sickness susceptibility. I conduct research both at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and TNO Soesterberg with the help of my (co)promotors Jelte Bos, Jeroen Smeets and Marieke Martens.

Together with Nina van Mastrigt, I organize the bimonthly AMS Science Transmission Meetings. I'm also a member of the AMS PhD committee.
