Personal profile

Personal information

As an organizational researcher, I study new ways of working, collaborative spaces, and self-management. You can find me in democratic workplaces, online communities, living labs, or coworking, hacker, and maker spaces, researching how we can work together to create a regenerative, fair, and alive society. I walk an interdisciplinary path between sociology, economics, psychology, and cultural theory to learn unexpected things about organizational design.

Current projects revolve around impact networks in urban living labs and how social transformation can be achieved through the creation and stewardship of common resources. I am also interested in the role of embodiment and encounter in collaborative teamwork and in the world of crypto and Web3, with its exciting experiments in currencies, steward-ownership, as well as collaborative decision-making and budgeting.

I am an Affiliate of the Discipline of Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Sydney Business School and served as a Mobility Fellow of the Swiss National Science Foundation at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. Beyond the ivory tower, I work as a consultant and trainer to share and learn. I have developed an innovative pedagogy, mixing experience design, serious play, and adult development theory to help organizations become more collaborative, self-organized, and creative.
