Dr. Bo P.J. Andree is Visiting Fellow at the Department of Spatial Economics of the VU University Amsterdam and Data Scientist at the Development Economics Data Group of the World Bank.
His research interests include spatial-time series econometrics, economics, and statistical learning methods, with an empirical focus on environmental and developmental policies. You can follow his current research.
His most recent work was on Predicting Food Crises with Aart Kraay, deputy Chief Economsit of the World Bank.
Bo completed the Earth and Economics BSc programme at the VU with additional courses in economics and a minor in GIS. He completed the Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics MSc programme, and obtained his PhD in the field of Econometrics with his thesis "Theory and Application of Dynamic Spatial Time Series Models".
