Bogdana Cherniavska is a qualified lawyer from Ukraine, with a PhD in Law degree. Currently, she is a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Transnational Legal Studies of the VU.
After completing her LLB in Land Law (2014) and obtaining an advanced LLM in Administrative and Constitutional Law from The Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko (2016) she has been a PhD candidate at the Insitute of Law under the supervision of Prof. Roman Melnyk and Dr. Berngard Schloer. The topic of her PhD thesis is the Legal status of NGOs in Ukraine in the context of the realisation of the freedom of association. It was completed in February 2021.
She is fascinated by both theoretical legal research and practice. So she has an experience as a Researcher in Administrative Law, Information Law, Migration Law and Corporate Law. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the National Academy of Management (distantly because of the war).
The fields of her legal expertise are Administrative Law, Corporate, Business Law and activities like lobbying and negotiation. As a legal practitioner, she is a good at Contract drafting, Registration procedures for legal entities, legal support with getting public services etc. Her clients are companies as well as private entrepreneurs. She also has some experience in Business Relocation (mainly to the UK and EU countries).
She was the head of the Alumni Association at KNU after Taras Shevchenko.
She had dealt with several educational, legal and social projects as a Leading manager for organizing events, governmental visits, conferences etc.
