Bohan Yang is a guest researcher and PhD candidate in the department of Environmental Geography of the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Bohan’s main research interests are the trade-offs between cropland protection and ecosystem services in China, using land use modelling. Now he is concentrating on assessment of Chinese cropland protection from a view of grain production. Before joining the environmental geography group, Bohan did researches in China at Huazhong Agricultural University. There, he worked on urban lake variation and landscape.
