Personal information

Boris van Zanten is a PhD researcher in the Environmental Geography Group, supervised by Peter Verburg and Pieter van Beukering. His research focuses on improving ecosystem services valuation methodology and gaining insight in the relations between ecosystem functions.

With a background in human geography and environmental sciences, Boris has a strong interest in multidisciplininary research regarding spatial aspects of both natural and social sciences. He graduated from the MSc programme Environment and Resource Management with a thesis on the coastal protection value of coral reef ecosystems in the United States Virgin Islands.
