Research

I am a sociologist studying the experiences of welfare recipients within the Dutch social assistance system, with a particular focus on unpaid activities.

Central to my research is the exploration of how we define 'work,' how social policy recognizes or neglects different forms of work, and how this shapes the value attached to work and the lived experiences of welfare recipients.
