Coen van der Geest is a PhD Candidate at the KIN Center for Digital Innovation at the School of Business and Economics of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He holds an MSc in Business Administration (Digital Business and Innovation)(Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), and an MPhil in Business in Society (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam). Coen’s dissertation research focuses on the (implications of the) use and evolution of platform interfaces, in both intra-organizational as well as inter-organizational settings. He conducts his research in the context of web browser platforms and around enterprise IT architecture integration efforts. His research is forthcoming the leading journal of California Management Review. He is currently a lecturer and tutorial teacher for Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation, Quantitative Research Design and Methods, and he supervises bachelor theses.
