Personal profile

Personal information

I am a researcher at the KIN Center for Digital Innovation of the School of Business and Economics at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. I am passionate about researching how (digital) innovation are developed and can be implemented to address societal challenges. Currently, I am focusing on how digital innovation can help to address healthcare challenges (e.g., an aging society, increase in chronic diseases) and the complex collaborations that are needed to do so. I am also fascinated by the discussions that transpire between the suggested benefits and potential controversies of AI, algorithms, and digital in general.

With this passion I teach students about (digital) innovation, (social) entrepreneurship and strategy and conduct research by being embedded in organisations and following start-ups and scale-ups their innovation activities. I enjoy collaborating with students and entrepreneurs, and I also occasionally write blogs about my research with students, business and policy experts.

Interested in discussing about how we can develop and implement (digital) innovations for a better future? I am always open to connect!
