Personal information

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Amsterdam Cooperation Lab (ACL), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where I work under the guidance of Prof. Daniel Balliet. My research focuses on the complex interactions between cultural contexts and individual cooperative behaviors. I employ various methodologies, including cross-country diary studies, longitudinal designs, and large-scale surveys, to test cultural evolutionary theories of cooperation.

Prior to joining ACL, I earned my PhD at Beijing Normal University under the supervision of Prof. Yu Kou. My doctoral research focused on the relationship between economic inequality and prosocial behaviour (i.e., charitable giving). Utilizing large-scale longitudinal archival data, survey, and experimental designs, I systematically investigated how varying levels of economic inequality influence individuals' willingness to engage in prosocial behaviour.
