I work as associate professor in the Department of Management and Organization, in the School of Business and Economics of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I am director of the VU Sustainability Leadership Hub, a center for sustainability education and advocacy.
I obtained my Master’s degree in sociology (with a specialization in Change Management) at the Eötvös Lóránt University in Budapest, Hungary, and my PhD (2016) in work and organizational psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, in Belgium.
I have obtained diverse organizational experience both in and outside academia, having worked at the Prime Minister’s Office in Hungary, at the European Commission, at the Centre for Creative Leadership, and at Notre Europe, the think tank of former President of the European Commission, Jacques Delors.
I was a visiting researcher at Ohio State University (2018), at the Central European University (2017) and hold visiting positions at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel's Department of Work and Organizational Psychology and the Department of Sociology.
My main research interests are sustainability leadership; critical perspectives on leadership; (the psychology of) inequalities in organizations; gender, diversity and power relations at the workplace; systems thinking & the sustainability transition in organizations.
My work has been published in journals such as Journal of Organizational Behavior, Leadership Quarterly, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, Applied Psychology, and European Journal of Personality.
I am co-editor of the Psychology Section of the Journal of Business Ethics.
I am co-founder of the Future of Work and Organizational Psychology research collective.
I teach courses on leadership, diversity in organizations and business ethics (applied to leadership and change management).
For my course 'Leadership: Advanced Perspectives', I developed the SDG scan, a student consulting methodology to support business organizations in the sustainability transition, in collaboration with the Amsterdam Sustainability Institute. A video on the SDG scan can be found here.
