Ellen Groenestein is an external PhD Candidate at the department of Communication Science. The aim of her PhD project is to elucidate whether, and under what circumstances, digital technology use affects psychological well-being, and the role of FoMO in this relation. Ellen’s PhD project is funded by a grant from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences to Ellen Groenestein and is supervised by Peter Kerkhof (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), Guido van Koningsbruggen (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and Lotte Willemsen (University of Applied Sciences, Rotterdam).
