Else-Marie van den Herik is a PhD candidate at the department of Spatial Economics of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her supervisors are prof. dr. Steven Poelhekke and prof. dr. Maarten Bosker.

She holds a MPhil (2023) in Economics from the Tinbergen Institute as well as a MSc in International Economics (2021) and a LLM in Commercial and Company Law (2021), both from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
