Her work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Business Venturing, International Journal of Business and the International Journal of Management Reviews.  She is a strong advocate for building bridges between science and practice.

Eva’s research focuses on entrepreneurship, teams, diversity and venture capital financing. Her work primarily focusses on the relationship between team diversity and new venture performance. Eva is one of the key thought leaders in the Netherlands with respect to female entrepreneurship and has published the first national study on the funding gap between male and female entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. This study gained national recognition as it revealed notoriously low number of investments in female entrepreneurs. The study was also one of the key drivers for the #Fundright Initiative, an quota to increase investments in female entrepreneurs by 35% within three years. Together with Royal Highness Prince Constantijn, Eva is still part of the core team of #Fundright and is actively involved in creating a more diverse and inclusive entrepreneurial eco-system. Eva is also a frequent contributor to Harvard Business Review.
