PhD student in Linguistics

My PhD project aims at expanding the knowledge of the much-debated nature of the Hebrew language in the Dead Sea Scrolls. I study verbal valence patterns (the patterns the verb forms with its arguments) that occur in the Dead Sea Scrolls and compare them to those in other types of Hebrew. This computer-assisted research takes places at the Eep Talstra Centre for Bible and Computer (ETCBC).

My research is funded by a PhDs in the Humanities grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) and supervised by prof. dr. L. J. de Vries, prof. dr. W. T. van Peursen and dr. J. W. Dyk.
