Personal information

Franziska Komossa is a PhD researcher in the Environmental Geography Group focusing on the relation between landscape change and the availability of public goods. Her research is part of the PROVIDE project and conducted under the supervision of Prof. Peter Verburg and Dr. Emma van der Zanden.

Prior to her PhD, Franziska completed a MSc in Human Geography at Lund University, Sweden and a BSc in Technology Management at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Franziska has an interdisciplinary background with a main focus on Technology & Operations, Human Geography, Human Ecology and GIS.


2015: MSc Human Geography with specialization in Human Ecology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lund, Sweden. 

2013: Exchange Studies, Faculty of Business, National Chengchi University, Taipei, Taiwan.

2014: BSc Technology Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
