Frits Bijleveld is specialist in the fields of data analysis, methods and techniques, and time series analysis. In 2008, Frits Bijleveld obtained his PhD at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam on the thesis Time series analysis in road safety research using state space methods.

He is assistant professor at the department of Econometrics and Data Science since 2013. He is also researcher at the SWOV (Institute for Road Safety Research).
