Personal information

Fujin Zhou is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM), Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam. She is also the coordinator for the MSc Programme of Environment and Resource Management (ERM) at IVM.

Prior to this, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Utrecht University School of Economics. She held a PhD in economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a MPhil in econometrics from Tinbergen Institute.

Her research interests include environmental economics, applied microeconomics, and development economics. Her research focuses on firms and assesses the economic impacts of climate change and market distortions on firm growth using firm level data. Her work was published (with Remco Oostendorp) in Review of Economics and Statistics in 2014, one of the top journals in economics.
