I am a PhD candidate in Social Psychology at VU. My research focuses on the reasons and consequences of believing in conspiracy theories. I am also interested in political psychology, extremism and terrorism, violence and crime. During my PhD, I investigated several phenomena related to conspiracy beliefs in the course of the 2020 US presidential election. During the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, I investigated how conspiracy beliefs polarized unvaccinated people and vaccinated people.
