Personal information

I have a background in Physical Geography and Quaternary Geology.  I hold a master’s degree in Earth, Life and Climate from Utrecht University where my focus was on Integrated Stratigraphy and Sedimentary Systems. My research interests include a.o. Quaternary Geology, Physical Geography, (Fluvial) Geomorphology, Neotectonics, Sedimentology, Climate change, GIS and Palynology.



My research focuses on the interaction between neotectonics and rivers. This research is primarily based on the river Meuse (Maas) in the southern Netherlands were the river crosses several faults. The project will combine field studies, numerical modelling and analogue experiments.
