General research interests: functional dynamics of proteins, i.e. how structural changes and intra- or intermolecular interactions lead to function. Methods used are ranging from Molecular Biology (cloning and mutagenesis) to Biochemistry (protein expression, purification and modification) and Biophysics (fluorescence spectroscopy and fluorescence microscopy, surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy etc.).
