Personal information

My research topic is the healthy school canteen.

The last years, I performed several studies regarding implementation and evaluation of the Guidelines for Healthier Canteens in Dutch secondary school canteens. These results are processed and prepared for publication currently.

At the moment I perform a validity and reliability study to the Canteen Scan. The Canteen scan is an online tool to support canteen managers in achieving a healthy school or sport canteen or worksite cafetaria. Basic criteria (like availability of water), the offered products and the healthy incentives (like promotion for and placements of products) can be entered, which results in insight in the canteen level and tailored advices for improvements.
