Personal information

Jacques Commandeur is specialized in the application of research methodology and statistics and the education of these subjects. In 1991, Jacques Commandeur obtained his PhD at Leiden University on the thesis Matching configurations. In 2007, Commandeur published An introduction to state space time series, co-authored with Siem Jan Koopman. In 2009 the book was translated and published in Japanese, and in 2015 this was done in the Chinese language. In 2009 Jacques Commandeur was appointed Endowed Professor at the department of Econometrics/OR at the Vrije Universiteit. He is also senior researcher at the SWOV Institute for Road Safety Research. 

Research

He has carried out different projects in the fields of, among others, (co)variance analysis, linear regression models and time series analysis.
