Jacco Wielhouwer is professor of economics of accounting and tax at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (since 2013). He studied Econometrics (OR) at Tilburg University at which he got his PhD in Operations Research (2002). 

Next to parttime academic activities, he held several senior (management) positions in financial industry (ING) and financial regulation (AFM).
