Job Dullaart is a PhD student in the department of Water and Climate Risk of the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam since October 2018. He has a background in Earth Sciences and Economics (BSc) and Hydrology (MSc) from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In 2018, Job did an internship at Deltares, Delft, under the supervision of Sanne Muis. His thesis focused on modelling storm surges with the use of a global tide and surge model (GTSM) which triggered his interest in this research area. During his PhD, Job will be working with GTSM to evaluate its ability to accurately model storm surges.
