Joey van Angeren is an Associate Professor at the KIN Center for Digital Innovation at the School of Business and Economics of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He holds a PhD in Innovation Management from Eindhoven University of Technology, MSc (cum laude) in Business Informatics from Utrecht University, and BSc in Information Science from Utrecht University. His research broadly focuses on issues of strategic management in the context of digital infrastructures, with a specific focus on platforms and ecosystems. His research has been published or is forthcoming in leading management journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, and California Management Review. Joey's dissertation was a best dissertation award finalist at the TIM Division of the Academy of Management and runner-up at the TIME Section of INFORMS. Joey teaches courses on digital innovation, information systems, and research methods
