Jonas Appelt is a PhD Candidate at the Environmental Geography group at the Institute for Environmental Studies.

His research focusses on agricultural transformation in Southeast Asia, in particular the interactions, trade-offs, and synergies between land use change and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Jonas work is part of the SDG Food Project on trade-offs and synergies related to SDG2 – zero hunger – in Laos and Myanmar.
