Joris Amin is a PhD candidate focusing on newcomer entrepreneurship. He completed the bachelor 'economics and business' at the University of Amsterdam and holds a research master 'business in society' from both the VU and the UvA.
Research
In his research, Joris aims to uncover what challenges newcomer entrepreneurs face, how they overcome these challenges, and how entrepreneurship contributes to their integration in society. Specifically, he is interested in the role of identity in this process.
