Personal information

Juliet Vink is a PhD candidate at the department of Management and Organization of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Her dissertation research examines the power dynamics within complex structures of collaborating organisations, specifically decentralised business ecosystems. To this end, Juliet employs mostly qualitative research methods to be understand how different organisations engage in interactions of power and to what effect. Important is that power in this understanding is not inherently negative or positive, it is a tool that can be used for different ends.

Besides research Juliet is also active as a teacher in several courses and supervises bachelor and master students in their own research for their thesis. She teaches the bachelor course People in Business and Society and the master course Business Ecosystems and Open Innovation. In previous years she has also taught Research Project and Change Rhetorics and Charisma.
