Laura de Groot is a PhD candidate at the Athena Institute, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her current research explores how inter- and transdisciplinarity are becoming embedded in the higher education system. She reflects on what these developments mean for the role of the university and considers potential pathways for their implementation from a multi-stakeholder perspective. In addition to her research, she teaches inter- and transdisciplinary courses, with a particular focus on (International) Public Health.
