Personal information

Linda Kopitz has studied at the University of Leipzig, Germany, and the University of Miami, USA, and holds a Research Masters and PhD in Media Studies from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Her research – situated between urban studies and media studies – explores the entanglement between real and virtual environments. 

She is currently working as a Lecturer in Cross-Media Culture and continues to freelance as a Creative Director and writer in the arts and cultural sector in The Netherlands, Germany and the United States. Bringing together her academic and editorial work, she is an assistant editor for the European Journal of Cultural Studies and a member of the steering committee of the European Network for Cinema and Media Studies (NECS). 

Her main research interests are urban and architectural media, gender and the intersection between technology and imaginations of the everyday.
