Personal profile
Personal information
I work on topics within (Meta-)Ethics, Epistemology and Political Philosophy. More specifically, I focus on questions surrounding the notions of rationality and reasoning: what does rationality require of us, is it primarily concerned with preserving coherence, or with correclty responding to reasons? And how important is rationality when compared to other norms?
Some of my current projects include:
- an epistemological analysis of Cancel Culture and the conditions under which it may or may not be rational
- an investigation of the role of rationality in contexts of mental scarcity, e.g. when experiencing poverty
- an exploration of the properties of our normative notions and their connections to reactive attitudes such as praise and blame
